Thank you for agreeing to use the Cost vs Value widget on your website. We’ve engineered it to be easy to use. These instructions will walk you through how to place the widget on your website.

The widget is 300x250 which is the same size as many ads. This should make it easy to place on your site.

Placing in a Website

You will need access to the HTML code on your page in order to place the Cost Vs Value widget. Find the place on the page where you would like the widget to appear and paste in the following code.

Two Step Process to Host Widget

  1. Embed Code: The code attached should be added to the web page on your site. Simply replace the with the full URL of your website (Example: http://www.remodelingmag.com). This Word document contains the code.
  2. You Host the Flash and Data: You must host the Flash file yourself. You can download it here: http://images.hanleywood.com/cvv/fw2.zip (Unzip file). The file called (FW2.SWF) will need to be loaded onto your servers. You will need to know the full URL that points to the Flash file on YOUR Server as discussed in the code above.
    In the same directory where the fw2.swf file resides create two subdirectories: “xml” and “graphics”. Place the “custom.xml” file into XML. Place the “logo.png” into graphics.
